When I play don’t come out the house I have to start with this song first

waviestflow

It's what metro would've wanted

[deleted]

Are you saying he would want us to play *some more* of his music?

karmagod13000

some i cant play this song without listening to the whole album

zRyanZ

finessed the streaming era in the best musical way possible

skelly00

Anyone remember dedication 5?

Adnaan2513

Esp since this song ends with a 21 adlib

[deleted]

I think that's what he means when he says he has to play it in that order

Kitchen_Ur_Lies

Been outside that’s with the *cre^e^e^w^w*

santone_

YA

Boats_N_Lowes

Best part

Saquon

"It's way too cold under this flesh" Probably my favorite line out of the entire album

aBoyHasNoUzername

As a microbiologist “At your throat like we that strep” is my favorite

Crash_Bandicool

The type of bar where I can't tell if it's good or terrible

YuNg-BrAtZ

travis is the king of those though they usually lean towards terrible "I'm just tryna ball why these niggas want me neutered"

whit3tig3r

I love both of these lines don’t @ me

Getrekt_kid

Rocky said on Runnin, "Coming for your neck no strep throat"

Gavina4444

Holy shit you really said “as a microbiologist” as if you’re the only one who knows what strep is

[deleted]

As an ENT specialist/md/phd/doctorate I really liked this line

zehero

Maybe he relates to it because of that

aBoyHasNoUzername

Maybe I should have said as someone who has purified proteins from Streptococcus pyogenes in the past I enjoyed this line. Obviously the average person knows what the fuck strep throat is. You don’t have to be a dick.

kcnaleac

leave it to some goof on r/hhh to take an innocent comment and get upset about it

Hi_My_Name_Is_Dave

STEM majors have to keep letting people know they’re STEM majors, even into the career.

DefconWan

Worse than vegans

BIRDSBEEZ

The way the first song ends and transitions into this song makes the hair on my arm stand up

Kitchen_Ur_Lies

the humming/harmonizing throughout this song is insane

[deleted]

This and 10AM/Save the world, amazing intros.

Leo_TheLurker

I can't listen to one without listening to the other immediately after

kappa23

Same, both are fucking good tracks too

Fieldrunner96

Not only the hair on my arm

BIRDSBEEZ

The hair on my pelotas

Fieldrunner96

Track got a little overlooked imo, but the production is absolutely amazing and Travis did his thing.

Isthatyouson

honestly the fade into dont come out the house is fucking unreal it gives me goosebumps

DamianLillard0

Every song Travis is on on NAHWC is amazing. Dream catcher, overdue, no more, only one are all some of my favorite songs of the year

[deleted]

Love that sample on this. It was originally teased on Metro's twitter

oddfuture445

Honestly listening to the instrumental version is amazing

c0mb00

It's so weird to me, since I watched The Guest when it came out, that I then though that it had a great soundtrack. It was pretty much my favourite movie for 2014. I suggested it to my friends and after they saw it, we listened the soundtrack together. I still remember watching that movie like it was yesterday. And then I started to listen Travis couple of years ago and now he is my favourite artist. When I first heard this song I was blown away. It just feels so weird to have all these things connected and it makes me like this song even more. I get those goosebumps everytime when I listen to this.

[deleted]

This album fuckin slapped. Loved it

stargazing-

this sample is always stuck in my head

Leo_TheLurker

one of the best samples of last year

[deleted]

Idk why but this song is too smooth and I can’t stop listening to it

poopmailman

That’s the genius of Young Metro

jagsaluja

Up to Something tho... Travis x Thugga is always something else

titfaced

i wish travis had a verse on it tho

Ghost51

I like to think this and Don't Come Out The House are one long song with two phases and thus become easily the best song on the album. Just like with My Choppa Hate Niggas -> Nightmare on Without Warning.

HunchoJackHJJH

Metro was a genius in the way that modern music can pull in listeners. I can’t listen to Don’t Come Out the House without hearing this first, or Only 1 Interlude without listening to Lesbian after. He found a way to make people stream multiple songs from the album in one sitting without listening through the whole album each time.

DefconWan

You're talking like Metro pioneered this kind of thing??..

samis100percent

Y’all know of any other examples of seamless transitions like these, because I need more in my life ASAP. (One that comes to my mind is 4422/gyalchester)

deadsoul88

Thats a classic, Pink Floyd might be one of the first ones to do it.

watashiwameron

have a cigar into wish you were here is so good

theacademyisnot

It's not hip hop but Nonagon Infinity by King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard is a concept album that's supposed to be played on loop and every track flows seamlessly into the next

shinsekainokamisama

Without Warning had the same thing going on with choppa hate niggas and nightmare

ragnathorn

Issa nightmare on elm skreet

weegeemontage

Try out Justice's album - "Cross". Good transitions are: Genesis - Let There Be Light - D.A.N.C.E. Phantom - Phantom Pt. II Tthhee Ppaarrttyy - DVNO Stress - Waters of Nazareth

Ghost51

$uicideboy$ did this on their latest album constantly, the transition from King Tulip to Bring Out Your Dead to Nicotine Patches is hard as fuck.

whosANGELO

One of my favorites before this album came out was on Logic's Bobby Tarantino. Illuminatro into Flexicution (first 2 songs) is beautiful. You can't listen to just one of the songs, gotta do both otherwise it doesn't feel right

[deleted]

metro didnt come up with this tho

CouldntTellYahMan

My Choppa leads right into Nightmares on Metro and 21’s Without Warning album, and it’s just as sexy.

lanadelkray

I remember hearing the sample Anthonio (Berlin Breakdown Version) in the movie The Guest. Loved that song since then

_Shit_Just_Got_Real_

Me too! I wonder if Metro saw that movie and got the idea to sample the track from it. *The Guest* is a great movie, for anyone interested in a modern thriller done with the same style as a John Carpenter film from the 80s.

UhhLikeWhatever

I recognized that sample immediately, Metro did a great job with it.

odd_guy_johnson

That first “21” ad lib in the outro gets me so hype every time

[deleted]

This is one of my favorite songs of the year

santone_

i fucks w this song so hard

[deleted]

This albums getting mixed opinions all around, but since it's the first Metro album I've listened to, god damn this shit was good. Production on the entire thing fucks my ears in the best way possible

Sir_Gunner

Without Warnning is legendary, peep it if you haven't already. Spooky and dark vibes from start to finish.

astroworld_

great song to get high to

yzy2020

That outro/intro to don't come out the house is so nice, love the callback to outside that song's underrated

Tayme-kappa

Since i discovered Metro Boomin i can't listen to anything else for a long time before coming back to Without Warning/Not all heroes/all his collab songs in general. I always thought the prod was the most important thing in a song, and Metro just kill it all each f***ing time.

Astro63

Not only did I fall in love with this song but I also fell in love with its sample song. Two for the price of one!

[deleted]

Like im sick thoughhhh

57809

Travis is so bad on this

[deleted]

L

Technician1999

Metro Boomin needs to realise there’s other artists other than Travis Scott, Drake, 21 Savage, and Offset. Like god damn he only collabs with these four guys the majority of the time.

InfinityBoost

That would be almost like another Dj Khaled. I like that he sticks with theese artists, at least I know what to expect.

Technician1999

How is that a good thing? Surely you would want the artist to pleasantly surprise you.

chlfg

I don't think DJ Khaled pleasantly surprises anyone with his music.

Technician1999

And neither does Metro Boomin at this point

c0mb00

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ;)

Technician1999

It’s not broke but you could always improve it by throwing some other artists in the mix every once and a while.

[deleted]

foreals tho i wish he would stop putting travis on every damn track
