To me giving self titled a 6/10 might be one of the worst reviews he’s ever done, it’s incredible how I managed to disagree with every one of his criticisms of the record
Pretty great. The vinyl of that album is one of the best packaged albums I've seen. Great look of the inner sleeve, and it comes with a lyric book full of designs from the cover
Yeah I’m glad they stepped it up because I have a vinyl copy of Bon Iver (2nd LP) that is straight trash. i,i on other other hand is one of the nicest packages and pressings I own.
Incredible. I grew up in Eau Claire, WI and was fortunate enough to perform with Justin as a high schooler on the Decade with Duke album. He'll always be a top ten artist for me.
I have a weird relationship with this album, only because I was at Eaux Claires 2016 when they performed the whole album live prior to its release. It was such an breathtaking concert, especially Creeks, that the album didn’t reach. Still great though
Creeks is such an incredible song that I have such a hard time explaining why I think it’s so incredible. I could listen to that vocal distortion all day.
This album is a 9.9. An absolute flawless masterpiece apart from ‘21 moon water’, imo Bon iver’s worst song and an always skip for me. 9.9 still ain’t bad tho
10/10 for me. I loved Bon Iver for years and the self titled and For Emma have an insanely special place in my heart. But fuck me if this album didn't hit in a completely different way. it was almost unreal and spiritually elevated compared to the others.
When I first heard the singles, I wasn't impressed. Idk what happened, bur since I listened to the whole album when it released, it ended up becoming one of my favorite albums ever.
It's a 10, like BI,BI.
Vernon is such a talented artist and beeing able to put out 2 perfect album in a row that are so much different.
Creeks is the most beautiful thing you could ever head live
This album is a masterpiece. Just saw him playing live in Amsterdam and it was a magical experience.
The melon was def wrong about this, but it took me a few listens to get into as well.
Wasn’t into Bon Iver before but this album gave me such an emotional experience. Especially when listening to it on a cold dark winter night when im walking around.
self-titled is probs my fav but this one still hits unreal. amazing album

it's incredibly egregious thinking back lol but okie dokie

i,i Vinyl had great packaging as well. It feels like a lot of care goes into the design and I appreciate that.

This album is magic
Love this album. A 5/10 from fantano was criminal, we don’t make fun of him enough for that.
I remember it being weirdly popular to hate on Bon Iver online at the time it dropped but it’s aged like fine wine today
I don't think the Melon is a big fan of Bon Iver. I swear in my head he has used "sounding like a Bon Iver chorus" as an insult in a review.
He said something to that extent in his Jean Dawson review

What was he like? I imagine he’s really pleasant to be around
It was an awesome experience. He's super chill and easy going. Just seemed like a regular guy who wanted to make some good music.
Oh neat I kinda figured
My favorite Bon Iver album. Tbh I’m no super into Bon Ivers first two albums but I love his most recent work.

10/10 from me. his review on BI always hurts
Amazing album. Fantano was wrong about it.
I think Kanye every day for introducing me to bon iver
This is one of my favorite albums of all time, not to mention most streamed album of all time. Love love love it
Crssks
He doesn’t have an album that’s less than great imo (aside from side projects and collabs)
Fantano really fumbled the bag reviewing this
Not my style but a good record
my second listened to artist of all time. have 2 tattoos for him one for this song specifically.
Great album. Bon Iver's best imo.
Love it
The way he incorporates the vocal effects in the live performances is really something special
One of my all time favorite albums for sure

Best Bon Iver album and usually in my top 10. Creeks is a masterpiece.
One of my all time favourites, top BI album for me for sure!
Amazing project

i like it! Very good album, for me its strong 8
It's good but the song titles and album art are cringe
Second favorite BI project behind Bon Iver, Bon Iver
Idk how anyone can think of this record as anything but dollar store oneohtrix.
They sound nothing alike
you're right, oneohtrix is good
They’re both good ❤️
Good album but creeks is the worst song
