Yes, Pelé futebol, feijoada, Neymar come minha irmã!
Now I want feijoada. It's hard to come by in the states.
Massachusetts has a ton of places that sell it.
Come eat, see Neymar eat that guys sister, and also the foliage is nice.
I do rather fuck his sister.
Tons of Brazilian restaurants in Florida, especially Orlando.
What state? Good Brazilian food is all over southern California, and the Northeast coast

brazil isn't carioca
Ok based on the context of this post, imma take a shot in the dark (no pun intended) and say this is Portuguese. Either way, may I have this translated please? I have a feeling Google won’t help me.
"I'm brazilian and I can confirm, this note is true" (that last part is a reference to a viral meme where one kid tried convincing his parents that there wasn't going to be school the next day, and he wrote a note with "this note is true" misspeled in the end, it was super cute)
Edit: maybe the context made it too confusing, the intended meaning is the same as "I'm brazilian and I can confirm, this is true"
Fuck Google, use DeepL.
Time é o Vasco da gama. O Botafogo é seleção.

No you can't mug these people and end up on LiveLeak
Most Brazilians don't own guns and even the ones who do don't carry them around except for cops, criminals and some very few exceptions.
There are not many undercover cops. The ones that act in the videos you see are mostly off-duty but in some Brazilian cities cops never let their guard down and carry a gun to act if necessary.
I completely agree. And the shootings are almost always justified. But somehow, whenever there’s criminals, there always seems to be an undercover cop ready to shoot him down. I’ve seen dozens of these videos myself, and every time a new one comes out, everyone is always perplexed by the amount of times this happens.
Edit: when Reddit talks about “Americans,” they are referring to North America, not South America. Technically, they are both called “America,” but they are not the same.
Edit 2: selection bias is a valid criticism. However, look up all the videos of violent criminals getting shot down. A majority of them are from Brazil. So not all criminals get shot down, but if they do, it’s usually in Brazil.
Well, shootout videos go viral easily and if you watch something the algorithm will recommend you more of the same.
No, i used to find them on another website without algorithms. Anytime someone was armed and ready to deal with violent criminals, it always happened to be undercover cops in Brazil.
It wasn’t a bad thing. I respected that. The meme is in fun and games.
>another website without algorithms
Son, there is something you would know.
There are a lot of sites that don't personalize your content at all.
Even then, you would be hard pressed to find a website completely without using algorithms at some point. But that's nitpicking. :)
Yeah, but those kinds aren't it. Tracking is everywhere.
This is pretty funny, got a chuckle. There are still a few static websites out there though, so who knows.
Well, if you want to see the parts where there isn't a cop you need to visit other sites... You looking in the wrong place...
People love watching the heroic cop rather then people getting shot without reason
I don't know how interesting you think muggings look but there are definitely a 1000x more videos out there of people being mugged with no repercussions than there are people shooting muggers. It's why it gets posted, that shit is exceptional. It's a selection bias.
That is just [selection bias](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selection_bias). No videos of successful robberies doesn't mean successful robberies don't exist, it just means the videos don't attract upvotes.
There is just too much robbery in Brazil. Thus, **occasionally**, there will be an undercover cop.
Reiterating what u/flying_low_BR said. Cops, even when off-duty, carry guns because it's too unsafe for them not to. If they get robbed, and the robber finds out they are a cop, the robber will most likely shoot/kill them.
>I completely agree.
Well, not a matter of opinion, but a fact lol
>I’ve seen dozens of these videos myself, and every time a new one comes out, everyone is always perplexed by the amount of times this happens.
It's kinda the same effect of when you see people who accomplished great things, you're only seeing those who succeded, so it seems easier or more likely than it actually is. And in this case, you're only seeing the videos that there was a cop there, so it seems to be the standard or at least common.
>And the shootings are almost always justified.
Same goes here, I haven't watched news or tv in general for years but I've seen some cases that it wasn't.
Mostly off-duty or retired ones.
Anyway, hope that helps to clarify it lol
>Well, not a matter of opinion, but a fact lol
Too bad nowadays facts are becoming more matters of opinion because "muh feelings"
No, they are referring to people in the US, but there isn't a word to specify that we're talking about people from the US
Lol nonsense, so many shootings where innocents get offed without much consideration, you're living in a very tight bubble if you think this is true.
So why the fuck did you post this here? Just to fuel that flawled belief?
"Shootings are almost always justified" is the biggest bullshit I've ever read on this site holy shit.
>Most Brazilians don't own guns
Most Americans don't either.
\^ This guy. He sees brazil and embraces it.
If we solve all our problems with murder, eventually there will be no more problems.
***Nuke it from Orbit.***
_It's the only way to be sure._
the North Korean solution: no HIV/AIDS if theyre all exterminated.
or the Stalin solution: there is always a majority that supports me, if all the dissidents are dead
There's tons of Americans that shouldn't own guns. Lmao. Like. Fucking tons.
Tons he says. 1 ton is like 4 Americans.
Yes but the ones who do make up for them by owning a lot, in America there are more registered guns than people (if I recall corectly it's almost the same amount, 101 guns for each 100 people) while in Brazil that number is much lower because guns are expensive and gun licenses are even more expensive, also basically anything that isn't a pistol or hunting rifle is ilegal, so the USA has a much larger gun culture than Brazil, it is not our constitutional right to bear arms, we had periods of strict gun regulation and liberal gun regulation.
Edit: Also important to mention that the strict gun control creates a huge black market for guns in Brazil, so this means we can't know for certain which country has more guns, but on the legal side it is the USA for sure.
[120 per 100, actually.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_civilian_guns_per_capita_by_country)
the US doesn’t have a gun registry
it’s one of the reasons we don’t actually know how many there are here
But the laws to carry firearms are very strict in Brazil
> even the ones who do don't carry them around except for cops
I don't know if you've been to America but regardless of what you see on reddit and Twitter. It's actually extremely rare to see someone carrying a gun around...I'm 33, I've mostly lived in Florida, Alabama, and Arkansas and I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen someone open carrying a firearm...
I’m from Kentucky/Tennessee and I have *never* seen a person hold a gun outside a gun range or the back woods of a farm (that’s being used as a gun range for the time being)
Exactly, people who form their opinions of America based off of Twitter think America is some divided warzone when in reality its nothing like that at all...in day to day life you will mostly see friendly people of all backgrounds and races that are more then happy to help eachother whenever needed... But that doesn't get clicks and likes...
America is literally just like everywhere else, we just happen to be center-stage in geopolitics for various reasons, so all of our ugly secrets and problems are a lot easier to advertise to everyone
Hmmmm its almost like this applies elsewhere
Based on the content we see from Brazil, everyone is either a cop, a criminal, or an undercover cop.
We all know everyone is either a criminal or off duty cop. There's no exception. There isn't even an on duty cop
You mean Rio de Janeiro?
You mean there's no blue parrot Rio???
Not so fun fact about that, the species of bird featured in those movies was declared extinct since the movies came out.
I’ve been taken for a fool!
Hol up...are you saying that all of Brazil isn't just Rio De Janeiro?
Rio de janeiro nem é o pior em criminalidade a questão é que tem bastante tráfico de armas , assim igual são Paulo simplesmente porque tem favela e morro pra krl então fica fácil traficar qualquer coisa.
The Great Pretender on Netflix
No worries man, hope you enjoy it
You’re a gentleman and a scholar.
I can’t get it, that’s cute
Need to give this show another chance.
its a good show
It really is a good show. With the exception of some really weird and inconsistent writing in season 3, although season 3 was still really fun to watch if you put that aside. If you like heists in any form, you'll like the great pretender
Edit; Part 4, not 3. My bad.
> season 3
It has a Season 3?
Sorry, case 3
Edit: I meant case 4 my bad. The dad one
It's weird, I liked case 3 the most cuz there's not a lot of internal fuckery, and the stakes aren't as high as the other ones. It's a nice, chill and logical scam yknow?
The art style put me off but this scene is too funny so I'll give it a chance
Yes. One of my new favorites. I think of it as a spiritual cousin of Bebop.
It was ok at the start but got lame near the end
Really cool show i liked it but got burtout on anime so havent watched it in a while, planning on finishing it when im able to binge it all one day
Can you explain what's happening in this clip. It looks so ridiculous lol
They're celebrating. That's literally it
If I remember correctly, >!in this part of the heist it’s a whole my double cross is actually a double cross is actually my double cross sort of thing. It’s too much to explain but basically at this point of the season finale the negotiations have pretend gone bad, and they need to act like there’s a whole shootout going on between the Yakuza/mafia and the FBI. The yakuza/Chinese mafia boss (who they’re robbing) have safely been dragged out of the shootout for their safety and are outside the doors waiting for the shootout to end. In reality, everyone else in the shootout are in this together and are fake shooting to buy time for their escape. Hence the POLICE vests and generic gangster suits. The room they’re in is actually a giant elevator which needs time to lower and be replaced!<
My first thought was literally "Huh, I don't remember this episode of The Boondocks"
But this show looks sick with an impressively dumb scene like this
That’s fucked up
Not just any they have to have a reason, was the robber armed? Was he fleeing? Did he pose a threat to anyone around? I’m not saying one way or the other on if it was justified, but different stations have different rules.
He 100% deserved it. Violent robbery of a helpless woman. I enjoy those social justice videos. But I’ve seen more of these types of videos than i can count from Brazil. Every time these videos come out, everyone asks, “is every citizen in Brazil an armed undercover cop?”
See something, do something.
But at it's BETTER conclusion.
Great pretender. One of the best shows I've ever seen
Afghanistan: damn that's crazy *cocks gun*
putting the fucking summary in the damn title
Great anime, 10/10 all the way through
Ending was bad, rest of it was good
I'm a bit conflicted about that 'Ocean's style' ending. I liked the French guy's relationship with his gf
Yeah, I feel like if they alluded to it more throughout the whole series then it would have made much stronger impact.
wtf is it?
Ohhhh yes. It's the Great Preeeeetender!
Os caras acham que América é um país e me manda uma dessa
Te comprendo, bro
Tem q mandar os cara estudar numa escola particular. O professor de geografia da pública morreu da bala perdida.
Brazilians are also Americans, technically 🤷🏻♂️
You say that as if we’re not honored for Brazilians to also be called Americans, they’re a great people.
I'm the guy who ran out of ammo so he's just whacking the ground with his gun.
I thought he was committing cbt
I'm the girl shooting and moving the arms around like crazy without even looking.
That's actually a girl, and she's the best part of the show.
Best girl fr
The Brazilian government thought it would be a great idea to ban weapons (you can still buy handguns, but it's extremely expensive, time consuming and exclusive) in order to reduce crime.
Result: Crime skyrocket since the ban, with Brazil now having more annual deaths from firearms than some warzones.
The people that shouldn't have weapons (criminals and sickos) are getting them anyways through black markets.
The police is too underpaid, outgunned and incompetent to deal with the massive waves of crime
The poor bastards that manage to aquire a handgun have ridiculous limitations, like severely limited amount of ammo, so you can't really practice shooting, as well as ridiculous expectations as to how to use it, for example, you're expected to hit an assailant in the hands/legs, if you know about shooting, you know this is almost impossible to pull off on the fly.
Moral of the story: Brazilians love guns because our government tried to pull an 1st world move and fucked up in biblical levels.
Ih pessoal, esse aqui usa o brasilivre
> with Brazil now having more annual deaths from firearms than some warzones
Also worth noting that much like the US, Brazil is a huge country with lots of variation between regions and states. Some southern/southeast states, which are more economically developed, have homicide rates similar to the US average (still high, but not that absurd) while less developed northern/northeast states have homicide rates 5 times higher than that, which is what brings the country average up.
So while Brazil is by no means a safe country, most of the population does not actually live in warzone-like areas when it comes to gun deaths.
Baseada e pilled brasileira
That was google translate, so sorry if that doesn't make sense
Caraí o gringo meteu o loco - thks for the effort buddy, Portuguese isnt an easy language
I'm actually 1/4 Portuguese (Born and raised in Australia), should I learn the language?
I've been learning Portuguese for the past 6 weeks and it's honestly been really cool! If you want to learn a language, then it's pretty fun to learn!
If you want, yes
Keep in mind PT-BR is very different from PT. Much more than ENG-US vs ENG-Brittish So choose which one fits you better
Na verdade portugues é bem facil
Sim até um bebê aprende
N tem como discordar
é "um" seu retardado
“Um”, not “uno”. They speak Portuguese in Brazil, not Spanish.
User name to post ratio off the charts
We can agree there is some truth in this lol
Yemen that kinda true
Oman, that's a good pun
You're going to Brazil?
I'm pretty sure Brazil is in America
When we say American, we mean United States of America. South America isn’t included
This meme format got me into Great Pretender
Actually, only drug dealers and cops have heavy gear in Brazil. But we have a lot of dealers and a lot of cops. And many cops are dealers. Long story short: we are fucked.
isn't Brazil in America
It is. They named themselves after a continent and forgot everybody else in it.
I must know what this is from
Thank you context man
I feel like we have more but they use their's more.

Brazil has the highest japanese population outside Japan.
*South Africa sweats nervously*
Não vou dizer que é mentira né. Parece que todo mundo tem uma arma hoje em dia
i live in america an personally know only 1 person that owns guns; my grandpa
As a brasileiro i must falar that sim, it is like that
also in mex, at least if you are a drug dealer or related/friends with one >!which all mexicans do LOL!< you still get unregistered guns at an accesible price, just dont go asking for permits and shit cause then you get into trouble lmao
People from Brazil are Americans tho ;)
