What the fuck is going on with the info on that link you provided, lol? The BB info is wrong for sure. The fork has rack mounts but wouldn't take something like a King Cage Manything cage and the frame itself has two-bolt water bottle cage mounts on the seat tube and both sides of the down-tube. [https://surlybikes.com/bikes/midnight\_special](https://surlybikes.com/bikes/midnight_special) lists the BB @ 68mm which is correct based on my own experience owning one of these beauties. I think you might be looking at a spec sheet that is mis-printed or someone forgot to edit correctly. I'll bet Surly would love to know, you should shoot them a message if you did indeed pull that from their website.

The date on that document is 3/17, but the MS didn't come out until 2018. There's a similar sheet linked from their MS legacy bike page ([https://surlybikes.com/bikes/legacy/midnight\_special\_2018](https://surlybikes.com/bikes/legacy/midnight_special_2018) ) that is dated 3/18 and looks correct: [https://surlybikes.com/uploads/downloads/16804\_SUR\_Midnight\_Special\_Frame\_Sheet\_85-000680\_INST\_B\_VF.pdf](https://surlybikes.com/uploads/downloads/16804_SUR_Midnight_Special_Frame_Sheet_85-000680_INST_B_VF.pdf) The one OP found looks like someone was putting the right info into the document from another bike but only got halfway there. Definitely something Surly should delete.

I searched for "midnight special frame specs" and that PDF was one of the first results. OK thanks for the clarification, that's what I thought, as I didn't see any Three-Pack/Boss mounts in any of the photos. Kind of shame that Surly didn't spec this fork with Three-Boss mounts, it seems only their more MTB/off-road frames have them (except the LHT). Also the link you gave only lists the BB as SRAM GXP, but it makes sense as a more road-oriented frame for it to have 68mm width BB standard.

I agree on the Fork mounts! It’s definitely 68.

that doesn't seem to be correct. The frame has three standard bottle mounts (one on the bottom of the downtube) and a standard 68mm BSA / English bottom bracket.
