We could go for the typical theory villain: Flugel. Let's say Flugel is Kenichi, that should bring him back to story.

Pretty sure Subaru loves his father, but not sure if he could just forgive him doing all the shit as Flugel to Beako and the other character. I would feel like that's an utterly miserable situation for Subaru if he would need to confront his dad for those things. Though it would obviously depend on what Flugels intentions were, I guess.

Ngl I’d hate that I rather Flugel have no relation to Subaru in a direct way.
