I have RING FIT , itās so challenging I would dare to say, it's the only one that actually counts as an intense training session. moreover the YOGA MASTER is a good one for yoga session, and JUST DANCE in sweat mode for a aerobic.
Ring Fit is a genuine good workout. Ive heard good things about Fitness Boxing 2. And Jump Rope Challenge (the free game) i sometimes do for a warm up.
Can confirm. While it doesnāt have the polish of Ring Fit, Rhythm Boxing 2 can definitely give you a decent, fast-paced workout. Two-player mode is a plus for when I play with my kid.
Ringfit, hands down. It covers the exercise fundamentals like no other and whilst it gamifies the exercises themselves, it doesn't _ever_ try to gamify the act of turning the game on. You are never shamed for a rest day. It never tells you how to play, but rather focuses on a fun experience to make you want to come back. Pure carrot, no stick.
It also just oozes love, care and _heart_. You can use the ring to make weird sounds on the title screen almost as a throwback to Mario 64's squishy face, the shopkeeper themesongs harmonise, the beeps when you jump between menu items play a tune if you scroll through them all in a row, you can vacuum the seeds off the dandelions to the sides of the courses, the enemies are adorable bad puns come to life that follow you with their eyes and actually wince in fear ever time you smack a compatriot next to them with your abs, the demo character has _character_ and sometimes needs a breather or runs in late, and the writing for the story is shockingly good and will give you a laugh.
It also has a rhythm game that is fun with friends and will kick your arse.
For me, Mario Kart with a joycon in each hand while on the treadmill at the gym.
Takes a few races to get the hang of it and not fall off the treadmill by mistake.
Try Fitness Boxing 2 or Knockout Home Fitness if you're looking for something different than Ring Fit. Or even this international one called Let's Get Fit which I haven't tried but want to.
> Ring Fit going to cost more though cause you need to purchase an accessory.
To clarify (just in case there's anyone seeing this who's unfamiliar) - Ring Fit does cost more *because it includes* an accessory. But you don't need to purchase anything *separate*, everything you'd need to play is included in the box.
As an aside: I do kinda wish there was a digital download of the RFA game available - it'd be nice to be able to get an exercise in without having to swap out whatever other game I currently have in place.
So, I recently decided I wanna lose some weight and had the same question. I went with Fitness Boxing 2 and Ring Fit Adventure. While I can't exactly recommend Boxing, I do recommend RFA. I've played it for less than 30 days and have lost 7kg so far (that's a little over 15 pounds). Of course I also changed my diet, but RFA is still great. It has lots of variety. Not only in terms of exercises but also in game modes. It's very flexible too. If you've done no sports for a long time, the low difficulties are very manageable and still give you a good amount of workout, and if you crank it up to the highest difficulties it'll probably even satisfy fitness nerds.
Graphics are nice, music is good, the whole thing runs very fluidly, and most importantly: it's very motivating - at least for me. I'm happy to come back to it every day. If you're looking for a fitness app, I'm convinced that this is the best of them all, including everything available on phones, etc.
Sidenote: Bizarrely, it has the best surround sound mix I've heard on the Switch. I own almost 150 games and none of them come even close to the quality of this surround mix. I find it kinda funny, because since this is a fitness app, there's no need for it to even have surround sound at all. Stereo would've been fine and nobody would've missed surround. But appearently someone at Nintendo really put in a lot of effort to make this game sound as good as possible and the result is a surround mix that I'm expecting from the biggest triple A first party titles on Playstation, and even there it's rare. I don't know what drove Nintendo to step up their game for this fitness app, but it's a delight to hear every time I play.
Edit: wow, somebody got offended by that and decided it's a downvote. Weird.
Yeah, the audio on this game is absurdly good. I don't have a surround setup and didn't know it supported it and I was still impressed. Sometimes some (likely individual) person at the studio is given the leeway to just blow it out of the park and this is one of those times.
Yeah, I like to think that someone at Nintendo decided they want a promotion and just went for it and delivered the best they could.
The surround mix is soooo good. The music that plays during warm-up and cooldown sounds like it's playing in my head because it's so masterfully spaced out between the speakers, and when you jog past the waterfalls or other audio sources you can not only hear it move from front to back and past you, but you can pinpoint the exact location within the 3D space just from hearing. It's nuts.
There are a few games with good surround sound on the Switch, but this fitness game, of all things, blows all of them out of the water.
Thanks for the time you put in to share this. Congratulations on all of your success! I love that youāve found something so motivating. We will have to check it out! Really appreciate this!
Thanks for the kind words! I figured a little more than just name-dropping would be more helpful in making a decision. Glad I could help :)
Have a nice day!
Most people are going to say that ring fit is the best option, however I'd be skeptical whether many who are commenting have actually tried any other exercise games on switch to make an educated opinion. I played for over a year with ring fit and also fitness boxing one and two, and most recently knockout Home fitness.
Ring fit is a good well-balanced program, but it does require a lot of actual game rpg playing elements to have to get through and if you're looking for a serious workout there is a lot of superfluous stuff and downtime in between sets.
Fitness boxing is good for the casual or beginner Shadow boxing but only really out of shape people will likely have any results on even the most difficult routine.
The most intense exercise "game" isn't really a game, knockout Home fitness. Definitely no frills and not a lot to look at, but it's easily the most intense short hiit exercise on switch. It's not something I'd recommend to a beginner, start with fitness boxing. It's also one of the cheapest now I think I've seen it at Walmart for about 20 bucks.
Any questions not already covered let me know, happy to assist.
Ring Fit like everyone said is a good place to start. I started playing this early Jan and continued for a couple month.
I recently felt like Ring Fit wasnt enough because it seems only exercise certain parts of your body. it also goes at your own pace so sometimes u can spend 10 mins on a single workout.
I switched to this game called Lets Get Fit. its basically like apple fitness or any of those core workouts u see on youtube. it logs on your switch. This has kept me up and going for the past month.
Source: guy who has lost 50lbs in the past 8 months.
Let's Get Fit has been my daily exercise for the last two months, would definitely recommend it for casual or a more hardcore daily sweatfest. I've previously heavily played Fitness Boxing, Ring Fit Adventure, and Knockout Home Fitness which were all great but I have been enjoying this even more.
Ring Fit adventure is great but a wonderful compliment to it would be Zumba: Burn It Up!
I like the Zumba game more than the Just Dance game because itās much easier to see and follow the moves - there is a little shadow person who shows yoi EXACTLY what to do and it makes it more accessible in my opinion. You can also choose length and workout intensity. Only downside is that there is a limited number of songs.
Thank you all so much for these amazing suggestions. We decided to start with the Ring Adventure and are looking at Just Dance & the Fitness Boxing 2 for possible next options. Keep the suggestions coming. Much appreciated.
I've been using Let's Get Fit for about a month now and find it very good. Offers a lot of choice, no equipment needed (other than the wrist and leg strap provided). You can create your own work outs, there's a number of programs available depending on what you're looking to achieve, they run for 30 days and you can do those at your leisure (no schedule or penalty if you don't play every day). There's also free training if you want to do a little extra along with your program. There are 5 levels of fitness too. Best to start at one and gauge yourself where you're at. If you do find it too easy it'll ask you every 2 or 3 days if you want to move up a fitness level or likewise if you're finding it too tough it'll ask if you want to drop down a level. It even has daily challenges, achievements and a leaderboard to give you a little push. Another thing I like is that the workouts are never too long so you don't have to set aside a whole chunk of your day. Sometimes the movement tracking can be a little frustrating, when you feel you're matching the motions on screen but not getting the points, that's fairly minor though.
I've also just ordered Fitness Boxing 2 after playing the demo. Seems like fun and nice to have something to Switch up between Let's Get Fit.
I have Ring Fit and absolutely do not recommend. The āmonstersā are endless and I find the rhythm of the actual exercise to be out of sync from the example - this means I cannot pass any level though I am doing the exercise correctly. Also, I could be lying on the floor and the game still tells me to squat lower. Such a piss off and waste of money
Ring fit adventure! Fantastic game with great progression and suitable for all ages and abilities.
I tried Ring Fit a few times and it kicked my butt pretty good. š
Perfect!
I have RING FIT , itās so challenging I would dare to say, it's the only one that actually counts as an intense training session. moreover the YOGA MASTER is a good one for yoga session, and JUST DANCE in sweat mode for a aerobic.
Wonderful suggestions thank you!!

You need to be a game reviewer. You could review anything and Iād be on the edge of my seat. Thanks for this exceptional review. Iām sold.
For me, Mario Kart with a joycon in each hand while on the treadmill at the gym. Takes a few races to get the hang of it and not fall off the treadmill by mistake.
Second this, with a exercise bike. Just started doing this and time flies for my cardio
Love this idea.
Wow! Thatās awesome.
This..... is not a terrible idea; Actually re-getting mario kart again for this exact reason now
Unfortunately I sweat so much I'd probably fry the joycons...
Ring Fit Adventure and Just Dance are some of my favorites!
Oooh we loved Just Dance years ago. Great suggestions!
Ring Fit is really good!
Fantastic thank you!
I enjoy Fitness Boxing 2 a lot.
Awesome we were looking at that one too!
Same fun game.
Try Fitness Boxing 2 or Knockout Home Fitness if you're looking for something different than Ring Fit. Or even this international one called Let's Get Fit which I haven't tried but want to.
Great ideas thank you!
I heard raves in this regard to both Ring Fit and Just Dance. Ring Fit going to cost more though cause you need to purchase an accessory.
Also... don't sleep on Pato Box, which is definitely more budget friendly haha
Iāll have to look into that one.

Nintendo Switch sports is great imo, don't know if it counts as a fitness game tho. It might, but I'm not entirely sure.
Much appreciated! Iāll have to check it out.
Workout home fitness is a godsend
Is that the knockout home fitness one? Iāll have to check it out. Thank you!
Yes ! I love it much more than ringfit
Oh okay! Thatās good to know. Iāll have to def look into that one. Is it an animated game or more like actual workout exercises?
I like Ringfit and Knockout home fitness
Awesome ideas thanks!
Here to echo Ring Fit. Probably the best exercise game around. Also has a fun separate rhythm mode too.
Weāll have to check it out!

One comment on Ringfit - It's really not a good option for people with back issues. Especially tall ones like myself, it seems.
Really appreciate this feedback. Thank you!
No problem. One session and mine was on Facebook Marketplace š I have an issue with my L4-L5 disc

Just dance is good for cardio and a lot of fun
Love just dance!
Switch Sports Soccer with the leg strap. Jog in place when your character runs.
Wonderful thank you!
Ring Fit totally
