I think he pulled out from the right, because I couldn't see him coming down the road.
Edit: Actually I watched that side road and you can't see the car come down it, so it must have been on the road the whole time. That shit is crazy!
i’m pretty sure it was coming out the corner at the same time the car was blocking the cameras view of it. regardless the dude must have saw that car coming.
Yup, and that's why they call it a blind turn, and why you don't pass on them. The passing driver probably saw the car as he rounded the corner but had zero time to react.
Oh, I see the comments lower down about it being doctored, i rewatched and yeah, it's modified.
That's because the car comes from the left turn at such speed that is completely hidden by the camera angle + black car on the left... this also explains why none of the 4 vehicles had time to react...
See that the dashcam footage has a "heads up display" showing 70+ Km/h...
Edit: It's not US, so changing the speed to proper one
I believe it just happened to perfectly line up behind the car on the left so that it remained out of sight all the way up until impact. Or possibly witchcraft.
Nah it's faked there is no blind spot. Watch it, the car should clearly be visible at least 2 points in the video yet it's just blurry background. They edited it out and lowered the video quality to make the fake harder to notice.
Must have turned onto the road from that side road. It was blocked by stuff so car wasn't visible.
Edit: No. That other car was on the wrong side of the road the whole time. It was obscured from our view by the two cars in front.
Edit Part II - Electric Boogaloo: As u/pnczur points out, this is doctored af. Pause at 0:10 and track forward, slowly as you can. You'll see the car appear in frame. There is also light from the headlights visible in the seconds before then.
No it wasn’t, look close, you will see it. It’s been doctored to make it seem like it was obstructed when the camera angle clearly shows that it would been impossible to hide anywhere leading to that. I’m fact, if you look really close you can see the reflection of the opposing car”/ headlights off the ground in place of the where the car should have been filmed. But it’s been doctored and edited to make it seem like it materializes out of nowhere.
Look at :08, :09, and :10. You can clearly see the other car come into frame at the 8 second mark. You can see the place it should be as a slightly lighter shade than the surrounding floor. Basically track back from the point of contact and it jumps out at you how doctored this fake shit.
Lol thx. Yeah the trajectory of the hit, the force and angles that create that impact, and the rate of speed means that the car should have been in frame because that’s all built up speed. That’s not make a turn into someone kinetic energy being displaced there.
So what did they edit exactly? The whole accident? Looks pretty realistic to me. Let's say they digitally inserted this car there, what about the rest of the accident?
No it didn’t. You can see the reflection off the ground of the opposing car that slammed into the other one. Seemed to be driving wild doing a long deliberate turn and seemed to be driving in the center turning lane leading to the crash. Seems like a game of chicken gone really wrong.
No, actually impossible. Look at the angle that the car hit. Look at how much kinetic energy was displaced. That’s from built up speed.
Those two things would have put the car squarely in the cameras line of sight. Track back from the point of impact and you can see where it was edited out of frame. Lol are you easily that fooled? Yes.
I watched it about 10 times and can't figure out where that car came from.
I guess this is what you could expect to happen if you had a DeLorean time machine.
Not really, it’s just a bad attempt at editing a video. Lol you can clearly see the reflection off the other car’s headlights on the ground in place of where it should show up. But it was edited out of the frame. Look closely and you will see.
They were on the wrong side of the road coming round the corner, so the two cars in front blocked it from view.
Edit: As u/pnczur points out, this is doctored af. Pause at 0:10 and track forward, slowly as you can. You'll see the car appear in frame. There is also light from the headlights visible in the seconds before then.
I don't think it's doctored. We have to keep in mind the camera is moving along with the car that gets hit. That car essentially acts as a blind spot for the camera and the van is perfectly in that spot until impact. It's like how if you're going a similar speed as a truck next to you, you may miss some road signs - other cars moving at close speed to you block your view of what's beyond them.
Could be just codec error. The video quality is really poor. I think it's possible the car was somehow removed/masked while encoding. Modern codes don't just store pixels, they do lots of fun things with entire objects.
Nope. Doctored video. You can see the other car’s headlights reflecting off the ground. It was photoshopped out. Lol they did a shit job of editing for those that have a trained eye.
Any chance here that the dash can only records like 5fps, and for the sake of space doesn’t update pixels if the sensor doesn’t pick up change? That’s the way Nest cams work… things “show up out of nowhere”, but it’s all in the interest of reducing amount of storage space and processing power needed.

You can see the reflection off the ground of the other car’s headlights. The car was editing out to make it seem like it came of nowhere but that’s impossible.
Im not sure on that. The head lights are OFF its the middle of the day there is no reflection. Pretty sure its the SUN and shadow that's causing the light in front of the car.
If you look closely the oncoming car is visible over the top of the car on the left. From the cameras perspective the guy trying to pass on the left perfectly hid the oncoming car. Both the drivers in front saw him. The oncoming car was going so fast it crossed the line a little and clipped the car on the left. You can see motion moving in a different speed and direction across the roof of the car on the left for a brief moment before the impact. Idk why fake is the go to response.
People are really falling for the pseudo intellectual babble of the guy claiming it’s photoshopped. The claim makes zero sense but he’s using big words, citing specific times in the video, and acting very confident. Too bad it’s all BS nonsense lmao
Good god if they keep saying “look at that kinetic energy displaced!” I’m gonna lose it. I think he doesn’t understand the road actually curves and thinks that we’re all saying the other car made a turn off that side street, which is not at all what happened.
Exactly! Nobody is saying the car turned out. It was clearly coming along the curve but veered into the oncoming lane for the wreck. It’s just hidden from view by the cars ahead of the cam car.
Honestly, I rewatched the crash like ten times. Best I can surmise is the passimg car was in just the right spot to block sight of the oncoming car in the curve, and the oncoming car drifted into causing the accident
From which you can deduce that the path of that passing car was very idiotic. And the driver in front of the cam on the left had no idea this would happen until a few milliseconds before it did.
I know its probably just perspective, but it really seems like that car came out of nowhere. So much in fact, that it doesn’t even look like the two other cars had time to react.
Physics don't work like that actually. Mythbusters actually did an episode about it. A car would feel the same forces at 70 vs 70 as they would at 70 vs 0.
🌈🌟 "The more you know"
It's technically correct, but it ignores that fact that if the car you're hitting is stationary it will have some give. So you will not instantly decelerate from 70 to 0. Instead you will decelerate from 70 to 20.
There's a difference between hitting a solid brick wall in the shape of a person cemented to the floor, and hitting a person. One will do a lot more damage than the other.
When the dark car passes on the left it must hide the oncoming car hitting that corner coming the other way. Then all you have to wait for is the collision. The angles of this shot are insane
Little bit of brain fuckery but best guess is other car came around the bend at the same time black car was blocking line of sight, making it seem like it popped out of nowhere.
It looks like a two lane road as the yellow line was to the left of the black car and not the white SUV. The black car passing on the left (if in the states) is perfectly reasonable. If not in the US, passing on the wrong side is dangerous but it was still within the line.
Other car that came from nowhere was across the yellow and black car had nowhere to go as left would lead to oncoming traffic and right would lead to white suv.
It’s been photoshopped. Lame attempt at that. Track back from the point of impact. You can clearly see where the other car was edited out of frame. The other car enters the frame at :08. The angle of impact and the force of it are of built up speed. You can see a slight color variation in the places it’s was photoshopped. I know the blend feature when I see it.
BadShofer is taking videos from all over the internet, puts their logo on it, and tells people that they can't remove the logo if they share the video. In some videos that BadShofer shares, there seems to be other logos that have been attempted to be removed, showing some hypocricy.
Slow it down to 0:06 just as the car on the left in breaking you can see the car from the other direction appear. You'll see a headlight before impact to the left of the car that took the brunt of the impact
This is one of the most violent wrecks I've seen here. That was absolutely brutal. I wonder if everyone survived. Hopefully but I'm not sure it was possible. That vehicle came out of nowhere
I've watched that a million times now with a particular eye to looking ahead into that turn trying to see where that car came from. Every single time it appears out of no where. Fucking driving can be some scary shit
Question. Did anyone die?
That looks horrific, but imagine if the impact timed up with the huge downbeat that comes a few beats after the video ends. That would've made it perfect.
This is a great video demonstrating blind spots even rerunning the segment before the crash over and over I can only see the car as it makes impact; never anywhere in the turn a head can the driver(our pov) see the oncoming car… that’s crazy
This is my worst nightmare, doing everything right and still getting just destroyed by someone else. You really can't ever be ready for something like this and I'm afraid of any loved ones who will be in the car with me if it happens.
I went through it frame by frame and what happened was the car on the left blocked our view of the car coming head on around the curve swinging wide and that’s what happened. It was a bad combination of the dark car shouldn’t have been passing going around a curve and the car coming towards us made a wide turn on the curve and the two of them hit head on.
This is a doctored video. You can see something resembling headlights shining off the ground in place of where that opposing car that crashed into the other person was. Because of you slow the video and then move it back and forth with you’re finger your will see that the camera angle should have caught the other car and the editing makes it seem like it came out of nowhere when that is obviously impossible. That’s why I say this is doctored because you can actually see the other cars headlights coming at the other car only you get to see only the faintest of reflection off the ground. Seems like the opposing car was driving in the center turning lane and there was a game of chicken that went wrong.
I'm pretty sure this is just a case of a very unfortunate camera angle. It's very possible that the incoming car was traveling just perfectly enough that the car they collided with obscured them from the camera.
Damn. Came out of nowhere.
I had to run it back several times I still couldn’t see that car… 🤔🤔🤔
Yeah what the hell man this is fucking me up
I think its coming around the cnr at the exact time the other car is blocking the sight.

I mean it’s a two lane road passing on a blind corner refers to single lanes but I get your point. This could’ve happened to anyone super unfortunate
If you don't believe me just watch.

Yes. I have watched this about 10 times and I still can't see that car coming.
The fuck is this wizardry
Literally, I watched it frame by frame and you never see the oncoming car until the collision
Or a great fake, esp since no reaction from the car recording. Frame by frame… review.
They did react. You hear the gasp and the car stopped. Plenty of a reaction.

So the car spawned out of no where?
Yes, that was really strange.

I believe it just happened to perfectly line up behind the car on the left so that it remained out of sight all the way up until impact. Or possibly witchcraft.
Yes You can see the car on the left try to get over just before the crash. But he/she saw it too late also.
because it materialized
Physics professor here! It's witchcraft

Ah, ok. I'm not trained to spot that sort of thing at all, so missed it completely. Thanks :)
Look at :08, :09, and :10. You can clearly see the other car come into frame at the 8 second mark. You can see the place it should be as a slightly lighter shade than the surrounding floor. Basically track back from the point of contact and it jumps out at you how doctored this fake shit.
You're dead right. In less than half a second at 0:11, the car just appears in the frame. Doctored. Very good work.
Lol thx. Yeah the trajectory of the hit, the force and angles that create that impact, and the rate of speed means that the car should have been in frame because that’s all built up speed. That’s not make a turn into someone kinetic energy being displaced there.

They're not saying it was edited in, but rather that it was edited out of the frames before the crash.
Oh, I see. That makes sense I guess. For what purpose though?
Maybe was submitted to insurance that way?
Beats me.
No it didn’t. You can see the reflection off the ground of the opposing car that slammed into the other one. Seemed to be driving wild doing a long deliberate turn and seemed to be driving in the center turning lane leading to the crash. Seems like a game of chicken gone really wrong.

There's no reflection.
Yes reflecting of light off pavement in broad day good stuff
Hope the insurance covers interdimensional rifts

Gotta say. I have a really hard time seeing it too.
They were on the wrong side of the road coming round the corner, so the two cars in front blocked it from view. Edit: As u/pnczur points out, this is doctored af. It was only a corn field back in 1922
Was that the result of a failed matter transfer experiment?
So the multiverse is real.

I think it is in the US, I don't know of anyother place that uses yellow lines to sepirate opposite directions of traffic. I might be wrong though.
It’s not the US based on the cars.
Honestly, the res is too low, and I know far too little about cars and makes to even guess at anything lol
The US doesn’t use circular road signs https://www.twinkl.com/teaching-wiki/road-signs
We also don't use the European wide license plates. We use mph, our posted speed limits are based on it, but I guess that could be debated.

The black car concealed it precisely as it was rounding the corner. If you pause and use the slider to go frame by frame, it seems very plausible.
That’s what I assumed, makes for a pretty trippy video.
Fucking LOVE how it ended with “ don’t believe just watch”
Did it jsut spawn ?

Where did the oncoming car come from?
lol tricked me with that car trying to turn
hitting an invisible car is my worst fear when driving
I watched like 20 times and still don't see where that car came from. Like it materialized at the worst possible moment.
I watched it so many fucking times Where did they come from??
What The Actual Fuck At 0:08 you can see the entire road, there is no way for a car to have appeared there. The simulation NPC pop in is overloaded.
Is it just me or did that mf just materialize out of nowhere lmao
I was expecting the car on the right to pull out. Instead we got some /r/abruptchaos shit. D:
I've replayed this at least 20 times back to back and I'm convinced this was a glitch in the matrix
This is my worst nightmare, doing everything right and still getting just destroyed by someone else. You really can't ever be ready for something like this and I'm afraid of any loved ones who will be in the car with me if it happens.
The got duped lmao, uptown funk moment
I'm just guessing here, but who looks at their phones while driving around curves... Darwin.
That was so close to being perfectly synced with the song
car piñata.
Jeezus!
He didn't just come out of nowhere that was a solid line on a curve you wet blankets
That thing just materialized out of thin air!!!
The black on the left hid the other car from sight, he had enough time to slow down and return back behind the white car.
Are you sure? I mean it seems like the oncoming car should’ve been visible shortly after the cammer passed that blue SUV on the right.
No the car just spawned in, has to be a edited clip can anyone verify the source
