Uhhh. Yeah sounds like BS to me honestly. How many miles? I did the BG intake cleaning on my Focus ST at 100k miles, and didn't really notice a difference. The intake cleaning is definitely an upsell. Carbon doesn't even build up on the turbo... It's the intake valves and pistons... Don't think resurfacing a rotor will affect squeaking either. If you track it, they might have warped from the heat, but you would feel that in braking... I think it's time to find another dealership.

37,000 miles. Nope don’t track it. And yeah when he said carbon buildup in the turbo it threw me off.. thanks for the reassurance

ittimjones

Yeah, carbon can't build up in the turbo. Lol. It's not burning anything. Lol. It can get gunk, like a throttle body does, but won't be any where near as bad as valve carbon buildup.

Go_For_Broke442

interesting... my ford dealership did walnut blasting and then chemical for fuel lines and whatnot

cowsgomoo1284

I hadn’t heard of dealers doing walnut blasting, that’s fortunate for you! I’m only at 37,000 miles so still seems too early to need walnut blasting anyways

Go_For_Broke442

ah yeah i did it for 60k service.

A minor sand of the rotors and pads will stops the squeeling temporarily until it needs to be done again

Rotors aren’t supposed to be resurfaced. They’re a throwaway and replace.
