She is the worst. She's selfish with no self-awareness. She gets by on this naive, clumsy, cutesy act but she's deeply manipulative and selfish. Gaby, Renee and Edie are also all selfish, but they're aware of this in themselves. Susan deflects, shifts blame, and is underhanded, without the character realising she's being a bitch.

Exactly. Susan is a great example of someone who doesn’t take constructive criticism well. She’s just as entitled as gabby, just in a different way. She also can’t handle the idea of someone disliking her (hence the dog kidnapping situation)

She always thinks she has the moral high ground no matter what she does (example: Dany and car). She is completely self absorbed and doesn’t see anything past her own nose (example: on the date with Mike when he got shot he was obviously not okay but she didn’t even notice it). She thinks she is the best and by extension her child too: the kindest, the smartest, etc. (example: her pushing Juanita; her implying that Juanita can’t be smart/smarter than MJ and being extremely petty about it). Etc, etc, etc. i have only seen 6 seasons but I heard she also forced her daughter to have a baby she didn’t want.

Wow thanks for summing up my Susan feelings! Definitely entitled and thinks she can do no wrong.

> She is completely self absorbed and doesn’t see anything past her own nose And so are the other housewives, who have done things just as morally bad as anything Susan's done, and sometimes far worse. I mean, Gaby's pretty self-absorbed and selfish the whole way through the show, to give an example. >(example: her pushing Juanita; her implying that Juanita can’t be smart/smarter than MJ and being extremely petty about it). Susan was upset about MJ being bullied by someone larger than him.

1. But the others are self-aware as stated by other commentators, while Susan is not. 2. So she is justified in resorting to violence towards a minor? Wtf?

The whole “I can’t cook” thing is not charming at all. It’s irritating. Bitch just read the directions cooking food is not hard >.<

Bluetinfoilhat

There is a whole media trope of people thinking it is endearing for women not to know how to cook. The show Gilmore girls did this a lot.

AcceptableUmpire2515

I cannot stand the “squeal” she makes when she’s frustrated after she did something stupid.

SempreZafira

Also here rewatching it in my 30s Susan definitely makes mistakes, especially with Mike (I'm only on season 1 rn)

Why so?

They all have major flaws. They have all done awful things what makes Susan stand out is her lack of accountability. Gabby knows she’s selfish. So does Edie. Susan doesn’t. Her selfishness and entitlement is infuriating. It’s become such an issue in the USA. Susan symbolizes a type of person that has become commonplace here. I see it everywhere. It’s what other people hate about a lot of Americans these days. We aren’t all like this, but still.
