I brushed off all the sand immediately after picking the cube up from the dune, and I don't believe any sand stayed on the cube when I took it home. I definitely had to be careful though, having sand inside the puzzle would not be fun.

I took a cube to the beach once and had to deep clean the sand out. You were probably more careful than me but I would never do it again lol
