So... Joe Rogan didn't get COVID vaccine after all, right?

So... Joe Rogan didn't get COVID vaccine after all, right?

HarwellDekatron

Well, yeah, I'll trust Rogan's statement on it over Adam's. My guess is that Adam *wanted* Rogan to have gotten the vaccine, because that'd give him another datapoint confirming his theory that 'the vaccine doesn't work' or whatever.

TheBigBadDuke

Now he just has the data point that for most people the vaccine is unnecessary.

HarwellDekatron

'Guy who is way fitter than the average for his age group got Covid-19 and recovered, therefore the vaccine is unnecessary' is a great take. Next up, you should tell us how drinking and driving is perfectly safe because 'most people' survive it.

DwarfInAHeliumHat

“I contracted HIV and survived. Therefore, wearing a condom is unnecessary.”

DangerousLabb

who are you quoting

DwarfInAHeliumHat

Joe Rogan contracted Covid-19. Thus, the vaccine is unnecessary for most people. That’s some interesting logic.

Small samples and anecdotes are what the alt right grift is all about. Easy money. Just makes sure you send it in.

spoulson

No. Adam said he thinks he most likely did, but was clear he doesn’t really know. And now we know from the Sanjay Gupta exchange that Rogan did not.

frederic_r

that's exactly what happened. Adam said he probably did, but later we learned that Rogan was going to take the vaccine but the appointment was cancelled because it was going to be J&J and issues came up >Rogan did not say in the video posted Wednesday whether he'd been vaccinated. He said in an April podcast that he was scheduled to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine prior to it being paused. RickDaCrit

Joe wasn't against the idea until Johnson and Johnson was pulled. Adam probably doesn't listen to JRE that much.

HarwellDekatron

Johnson and Johnson was never 'pulled'? Joe truly seems to surround himself with people feeding him misinformation.

Wrong: J&J was paused for a while in April **Johnson & Johnson Vaccinations Paused After Rare Clotting Cases Emerge** [https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/13/us/politics/johnson-johnson-vaccine-blood-clots-fda-cdc.html](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/13/us/politics/johnson-johnson-vaccine-blood-clots-fda-cdc.html)

HarwellDekatron

For 10 days, and it was after 6 people *out of almost 7 million* got sick, and then immediately after they gave the all clear to continue inoculation with the J&J vaccine. In other words: Joe seemed to really focus on the information that confirmed his narrative, but never bothered to examine the data points that went against it. If he was fully honest, he would've made the calculation that 6 < (2% of 7 million = 140000) and said 'well, I guess it's still safer to get the vaccine than not).

frederic_r

you're changing the subject. Rogan cancelled his vaccine appointment because of that J&J pause.

HarwellDekatron

The original comment implied that Rogan was OK with the vaccine until J&J was 'pulled' and that's why he became an anti(Covid-19)vaxxer. My point is that the J&J vaccine was 'pulled' for a very short period of time, and if that Joe's concerns were about the safety of the vaccine and the vaccine was deemed safe and inoculation resumed, then Joe's 'concerns' seem to have been addressed. If he continues being against the Covid-19 vaccines, that seems to be a consequence of being surrounded by antivaxxers (or pro-Republican agitators pretending to be antivaxxers to sell outrage) and not because the vaccines are actually unsafe. I'm not changing the subject *if I'm addressing it directly*.

RickDaCrit

Get a life.

RickDaCrit

What a douchebag

HarwellDekatron

Sorry that pointing out facts is such a threat to your narrative. Maybe try to find a narrative that doesn't crumble whenever facts are introduced, then you won't feel attacked.
