By - iknowwhoisyou

It's pronounced *"Eyegore."*
It’s not. It’s pronounced Игорь

Yeah it aint
How are you?
I prefer Smirnoff
Skål is for those to the upper west - Scandinavia.
I appreciate your enthusiasm but I'm a westerner that literally knows nothing about what you said.
Skol is a vodka my phone hates to type and Svedka is another one. And like, Khabib and polar bears are the only other thing I know about your place. I mean that with no disrespect cuz I'd love to see it someday. :)
No worries, amigo. I thought you/we were toasting. Na zdorov'e = to your health; aka cheers in Russian. Skål is cheers in Swedish. Prost = cheers in German.
So here's to the friends gathered beneath this roof, may it never fall in and may we never fall out.
> Na zdorov'e = to your health; aka cheers in Russian
Nope. We do not say that when drinking. No idea where it comes from but it's kind of annoying to see every time.
Closest I can think of is "Tvoyo zdorovye", and there isn't really a completely universal word like Prost in German.
Na zdrowie is also in Poland.
Probably comes from Polish (na zdrowie) and people just assumed it's Russian.
Vladimir vladimirovich putin
Aka grandaddy putin
Polina, but that’s probably because there’s a russian girl in my grade called polina
VLAD THE IMPALER WILL STICK IT UP ALL YAR ARSES!! seriously, vlad, all day long, 100% vlad vlad vlad. ...now ima gonna take a bow and exit stage left...and walk straight to the local 'hole in wall' bar for a quick game of darts
It’s pronounced nikolaj

Not even close. Nikolaj
Aaa yes of course, former WWF tag team champion Nikolai Volkoff

I was thinking of Nikolai from call of duty lmao

Fool, if it wasn't for Sergei here, you and your cuz both would be cadaverous motherfuckers.
That name in my language saunds like "ser gay" meaning being gay
There's a great movie called *Kukushka* set in the Finnish Lapland at the end of WWII. The protagonists are a Lap lady who only speaks Lap, a Soviet soldier who only speaks Russian, and a Finnish soldier who had been taken prisoner by the Nazis and dressed in an SS uniform, and speaks Finnish and a little German. When the Finn meets the Soviet, he introduces himself and tries to communicate that they're on the same side. The Soviet automatically hates the Finn, thinking he's a fascist. IIRC, the conversation goes something like this.
-Finn: Comerade, what is your name?
-Soviet: Пошёл ты нахуй. (Tr: "Go suck a dick.")
-Finn: Pa- pash... Hmm, that's hard to say. I'll just call you Ivan. Every Russian's name is Ivan.
For the rest of the movie, the Finn calls the Soviet Ivan, and the Soviet calls the Finn Franz.
We go the whole movie not knowing the Soviet's name, and at the very end we find out that it is, indeed Ivan.
A great movie! Been ages since I last saw it, I think you made my Saturday night plans for me.
In Metal Gear Solid V you could hear a conversation between two Russian soldiers talking about a guy named Ivan Ivanovitch Ivanov. Can't get more Russian than that
Me too, which is weird because I know a handful of Russians and none of them is named Ivan
Sister of Tony's Russian gumaah?
Me to. We had a great tv program called askbthe Svetlanas.
Why always Boris?
Did he have hands? Did he have a face? Then it wasn’t us.
Did he have hands? Did he have a face? Then it’s not us.

Yekaterina Petrovna Zamolodchikova.
But your dad just calls me Katya.
Lenin in the streets, Dostoyevsky in the sheets, baby are you ready for this Cold War?
I'm a scorching hot mess in a skin tight dress.

Lover of the Russian queen
Ra Ra Rasputin, lover of the Russian queen, there was a cat that really was gone
Ra Ra Rasputin, Russia's famous love machine, it was a shame how he carried on
There lived a man back in Russia long ago
He was big and strong in his eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at him, with terror and fear
But to Moscow chicks he was such a lovely dig
He could preach the bible like a preacher
Not his first name... his first namme was Grigori.
A name, nonetheless.
Also, username checks out.
That name always conjured up an image of an old grumpy woman in my mind until Olga Kurylenko came around.
Had to scroll too far for this.
This thread should have thought of it earlier
I know I had to scroll way to far to find this
Sasha is short for Aleksandar in Russia. Careful where you unzip, it’s not very LGBTQ friendly.
Did he stutter?
Also for Alexandra, which is women name.

Underrated russian name
Vladimir or Oleg
Dimitri, but the Russian version
Stanislav (it's my friend's name)
Vladimir, not because of their president, but because I bought a sweet ocarina from Doodkimusic on etsy, and there's a Vladimir that runs the account. please support him, his ocarinas are literal luxury for a spectacular price.
The final karamazov brother! Not counting (spoilers) smerdyakov.
